Terms of Service
Effective Date: May 1, 2026
Last Updated: May 1, 2026
These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Edmond Legacy, LLC ("My Letter Vault", "we", "us", or "our"), a limited liability company operating the My Letter Vault service at mylettervault.com. By accessing or using My Letter Vault, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using My Letter Vault in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Edmond Legacy, LLC, operating as My Letter Vault.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or purchase a plan. By using My Letter Vault, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. The service is intended for personal, non-commercial use.
3. Account Registration
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@mylettervault.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Plans, Fees, and Payment
My Letter Vault offers a free tier and paid plans (Vault+ at $99 and Legacy Elite at $299), each billed as a one-time payment — not a subscription. All prices are in USD. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. By completing a purchase, you authorize us to charge the stated amount to your payment method. Your paid plan never expires and never renews automatically.
5. Refund Policy
Due to the nature of digital services and the immediate access granted upon purchase, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds except where required by applicable law. If you experience a technical problem preventing access to your paid features, contact us at support@mylettervault.com and we will work to resolve it promptly.
6. Scheduled Letter Delivery
My Letter Vault allows you to schedule letters for future delivery to designated recipients. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to deliver letters on the dates you specify. However, delivery depends on accurate recipient information (name, email address) provided by you. We are not responsible for non-delivery resulting from inaccurate, outdated, or inaccessible recipient contact information. Scheduled delivery is a best-effort service and does not constitute a guarantee.
7. The Continuity Reserve
A portion of every Vault+ and Legacy Elite purchase is allocated to the My Letter Vault Continuity Reserve — a dedicated fund intended to ensure delivery obligations can be honored in the event of a company wind-down, acquisition, or restructuring. The Continuity Reserve is not a trust, escrow, or regulated financial instrument. It represents our operational commitment to honoring scheduled deliveries. In the event My Letter Vault ceases operations, we will make commercially reasonable efforts to either deliver outstanding scheduled letters directly or transfer them to a successor service.
8. Your Content
You retain full ownership of all letters, biographical content, and other material you create within My Letter Vault ("Your Content"). By using the service, you grant My Letter Vault a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and transmit Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you — including delivering letters to your designated recipients on your behalf. We will never sell, license, publish, or use Your Content for any other purpose. You are solely responsible for the content of your letters. You agree not to include content that is illegal, defamatory, threatening, or that infringes the intellectual property rights of others.
9. Exports and Data Portability
My Letter Vault provides export tools so you can download your letters, biography, and recipient data at any time in multiple formats (PDF, EPUB, JSON). You are not solely dependent on our platform to access your own words. We strongly encourage regular exports as part of your own personal backup practice.
10. Privacy
Your use of My Letter Vault is also governed by our Privacy Policy, incorporated herein by reference. We take the privacy of your letters and personal information seriously. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your data.
11. Prohibited Use
You agree not to: use the service for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorized access to other user accounts or our systems; transmit spam, malicious code, or harmful content; use the service to harass, threaten, or harm others; reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the platform; or resell or sublicense access to the service.
12. Service Availability
We strive to maintain continuous availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience downtime. We are not liable for losses arising from service interruptions beyond our reasonable control.
13. Termination
You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@mylettervault.com. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your stored content may be deleted. We recommend exporting your data before closing your account. Paid plans are non-refundable upon voluntary termination.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
My Letter Vault is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, My Letter Vault's total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim. In no event shall My Letter Vault be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or emotional distress, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Edmond Legacy, LLC (operating as My Letter Vault) and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms.
17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, the state in which Edmond Legacy, LLC is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction. You waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users by email.
